Seventy holes, all circular, all unique.

Thaw is part of an exploration of circular forms, focusing specifically on ephemeral circles, with a view to highlight the irregularity of seemingly simple forms.

The irregular forms in Thaw were created by drips of melting snow falling from trees onto the snow-covered ground.

The mixed media pieces in this collection work from the source photography to recreate the original layered forms. These include a telescopic view, a framed version of the telescopic view and delicate wall/window hangings.
